- 1 3/4 cups Milk
- To taste Butter, bacon fat or oil for greasing the skillet
- To taste Boiled cider, butter, raw milk cheeses

- Combine cornmeal, sugar (if using), salt and milk in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Drop by the spoonful onto a hot, well-greased griddle or fry pan.
- Cook for approx. 3 - 4 minutes until the edges turn lacey and brown, then flip and finish the other side for 3 - 4 minutes.
- Serve warm drizzled with boiled cider, a selection of raw milk cheeses and local apples.
